The Gala Screening Event was added last year for the first time, and attracted a lot of media attention and interest from the fans. It was held on 29th October 2018, presenting the world premiere of the Japanese film “The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps”, directed by Yukihiro Tutsumi.

It was an exciting night as the director and the main cast appeared at both The Red Carpet Ceremony at Roppongi Hills Arena, and later on Stage at Screen 7 of TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. The movie cast guests included: Ryoko Shinohara, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Kentaro Sakaguhi, Rina Kawaei, Sayaka Yamaguchi and Min Tanaka.

The actors and director all looked very elegant, styled in Giorgio Armani all-black formal dresses and suits. The program started with brief introductions and comments by each of the actors, and then continued with a Talk Session about the film.
